Ospri answers a question worth answering, cheaply and on a schedule you set: which of the accounts you watch just posted something that beat its own baseline. What it does not claim to answer is the next question, which is where inside that video the viewer was won and where they started leaving.

That is a clean product with a clear scope. Pricing is early-bird as of today: Starter $9.99, Growth $19.99 and Enterprise $49.99 per month on annual billing, a few dollars more month to month, metered at 2,000, 5,000 and 12,000 credits per month with around 500 reserved per tracked competitor. There is no free plan, and Enterprise carries five seats.

What Ospri does not advertise anywhere on its pages is retention analysis, drop-off detection, a per-moment timeline, or a hook score. Baseline-relative detection tells you the video outperformed. What to look for in an alternative

If the drop-off question is what sent you looking, judge candidates on four things:

• Does it show timestamps, or just a score? “78 out of 100” and “the video sags from second 14” are different products.
• Whose videos can it read? Most drop-off tools analyze your own upload before you post. Far fewer will do it to a competitor’s winner.
• Is the finding reusable? A note about one video dies with that video. A named format or technique you can search for again compounds.
• Does it cover the platforms you actually post on? This is where several of these, ours included, will disqualify themselves for you.

What these products give you is a structural read of the video: where the hook stops working, where the setup runs long, where the payoff lands. The scope difference is the one worth knowing: PreAlgo is built to grade your own content before you post, and its Pro benchmarking compares your performance to top performers, which is a different job from breaking a rival’s video down moment by moment. If your question is “why did my draft lose people at 14 seconds”, this is an excellent and cheap answer.

3. TikAlyzer, cheap per-video retention scoring

The headline performance claims on the page are strong; judge it on the drop-off feature, which is real and inexpensive.

4. Viralo, the genuinely free option

If free is the requirement, Viralo is the honest answer here. Its free plan, verified on its pricing page today, is two video analyses per month including one full detailed breakdown, with no credit card. Paid tiers are Creator $9 per month for 30 analyses, 10 pre-publish reviews and 10 script generations across three monitored feed channels, Pro $22, and Agency $59, all with a 7-day money-back guarantee.

It scores 15 or more signals per video including hook, pacing and script structure, and it covers YouTube Shorts as well as TikTok and Reels. What it does not advertise is a timestamped moment-by-moment map or a filterable library of format classes. Two free analyses a month is not a workflow, but it is a real way to test whether this category is worth paying for.

5. ReverseClip, if the tracking job is what you liked

If what you actually want is Ospri’s core job done with more depth on the videos it surfaces, ReverseClip is the closer swap. Two caveats matter. It covers Instagram and TikTok only, so like us it loses to Ospri on YouTube. 6. Augur, for niche monitoring with a free start

Augur is the monitoring-first pick. Custom Niche Hubs, an outlier tracker, trend alerts, exports and Meta ads intelligence across TikTok, Reels and YouTube Shorts, with hook scripts grounded in real data advertised today and a fuller Content Studio still listed as coming soon.
